Frequently Asked Questions

Here are the most asked questions about DBeaver Community for Windows:

Open the connection settings and confirm the host, port, database name, and credentials are exact. PostgreSQL defaults to port 5432 and requires the database name to match exactly including case. Also check that your PostgreSQL server allows connections from your machine by reviewing the pg_hba.conf file and confirming your IP is not blocked by a firewall rule on the server side.
This is almost always an auto commit issue. DBeaver Community for Windows runs in manual commit mode by default which means your session may be reading from a transaction that has not seen the latest committed data. Toggle auto commit on from the toolbar at the top of the SQL editor and rerun your query. The results will reflect the current committed state of your database immediately.
Open Preferences, go to Data Editor, and reduce the segment size from the default to 200 rows. DBeaver loads table data in segments and the default size pulls too many rows into memory at once on large tables. Lowering the segment size keeps the interface responsive while still giving you full access to browse and edit every row in the table.
